WHY UNLEASHED K9?
Unleashed K9 is a small business owned and operated by Chelsea. 12 years into her career, Chelsea has worked with 1000’s of dogs and their owners who were all seeking the same thing: a clearer line of communication between human and dog. After graduating from National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus Oh and working with world renowned trainers, Chelsea made a point to design her programs to match real world environments and help her clients have the appropriate tools to handle any situation. She prides herself on not following a cookie-cutter way of training but adapting what she teaches to each individual dog. With a balanced approach, Chelsea believes in a fair and clear method of training your dog, knowing right from wrong and what the exact limits and boundaries YOU set for your unique situation.
MEET THE OWNER
Some of my first jobs as a kid were taking care of animals. I worked at horse barns cleaning stalls, shelters, and rescues working as a kennel tech and no matter how dirty the job was, being around the animals felt like the perfect place for me.
As I got older there were no questions that I would continue down this path. So, I spent many years working anywhere I could just so I could be around dogs. I've worked as a veterinary technician, adoption counselor, daycare advisor, groomer, you name it, I tried it! But it wasn’t until I adopted a very special puppy that I knew training dogs was exactly what I wanted to do.
This puppy gave me an absolute run for my money, she tested me constantly, chewed everything up, never listened, pulled on leash, only came to me when she felt like it, and pretty much ruled my life. She is the exact reason why only a few months of having her, I was already enrolled in a dog training school. I graduated from National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio after completing a rigorous six-week course, I felt I was at the very least, more equipped to handling her, however, it led me down an even richer path. Since then I’ve worked with thousands of dogs at all stages of their lives. I have gained extensive knowledge working with aggression control, fear and anxiety-based behaviors, on and off-leash obedience as well as preparing owners for their new puppy. Nothing feels better than being able to restore peace between owners and their dogs and that's why I keep doing this!
SERVICES AND FEES
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are great for the owner who wants to be hands on and more involved in the process of training their dog.
Each lesson is spaced out on a weekly basis and is geared towards clients that have the time and patience to train their dog. Every lesson, you will learn something new and it's your job to implement the training throughout the week.
Lessons take place in your home and as you and your dog progress, we may conduct some lessons in public places.
**Quantity of lessons is determined according to trainers recommendations after meeting owners and dog**
Program cost: $150.00 per lesson

2 WEEK BOARD & TRAIN
The reason why board and trains are so successful is because of the repetition and consistency I can put into training your dog that you may not have enough time for. This program is awesome for a new puppy to establish boundaries and rules from the beginning. This will save you hours of headaches and stress dealing with an unruly adult dog that has already developed bad behaviors. Another good candidate would be owners who are struggling to control behavioral issues like, but not limited to, reactivity towards people and dogs, aggression or fear and anxiety-based reactions.

DAY TRAIN
Day Train is a cross between a board and train and private lessons. Your dog will spend the day with me where I’ll train, socialize and work on any behavior modification. In the evening, we will schedule a lesson where we will cover everything your dog learned that day.
Day Train is great for the busy owner who has evening availability to train their dog and follow through with weekly homework.
Each scheduled training day and lesson are spaced out on a weekly basis.
Lessons take place in your home and as your dog progress, we may conduct some lessons in public places.

WHERE WILL MY DOG STAY?
For your dogs' entire stay, they will live at home with me! I believe strongly in the expression "real world dog training" meaning setting your dog up for success in environments that are just like home. This way, your dog is exposed to and taught how to better handle situations like the doorbell, mailman, boundaries on furniture as well as respectful behavior around food. Another perk is that there is 24-hour supervision to ensure extra safety while your dog is away.

ARE THERE LIMITS TO AGE, SIZE OR BREED?
No dog is ever too old, or too young to begin implementing rules and structure nor have I ever turned down a dog due to its breed or size. I believe that with my training method and philosophy, it won't matter how big or small your dog is, what breed or age. When you learn to communicate appropriately with a dog, everything else falls into place!

DO YOU GUARANTEE RESULTS?
Short answer, no. The goal is to set you and your dog up with a life time of success, however, it is up to you how consistent you stay after you complete training with me. Follow through and maintenance of the new boundaries and rules we implement, are key for success and is something that does not end once your dog comes home.
With that being said, I am committed to ensuring I prepare you with the knowledge and tools you need to meet your goals and expectations!

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE E-COLLAR?
An e-collar is one of the best tools on the market when it comes to consistent and clear communication, meaning, from handler to handler, the dog receives the same message each time.
The technology behind a quality e-collar is that of a TENS unit. Exactly what you would feel if you've ever had physical therapy or an injured muscle. As goes with any tool, a proper introduction needs to be established to set your dog up for success!

Q:
DO YOU USE PRONG COLLARS?
Yes, we do use prong collars!
Don't be fooled by the scary look of this tool. It is in fact one of the more safe collars out there, why? due to its construction, the prong collar distributes pressure evenly around the neck of your dog versus regular flat collars that dump all the pressure on the weakest point of the dog's necks.
Keep in mind, as with any tool, the introduction is key! A dog needs to understand what you asking for before you expect it to listen!
